Empower's co-founder presents key presentations at EASA KSA100 webinar

Captain Andy Mitchell, co-director of Empower.aero presented on two key topics during the EASA KSA 100 webinar. With over 1,000 attendees, the event received a 100% satisfaction score and underlined the importance of a consistent understanding and rollout of CBTA across different aspects of pilot training.

In addition to help organise the event in his capacity as Chair of the ATPG, Andy set the scene for a holistic approach to CBTA in KSA100 (ATPL groundschool), Multipilot Licence (MPL) and APS MCC, aligned to the mature EASA EBT regulation. Through his thought-leadership he introduced for the first time to the industry the difference between airline pilot competency in airline recurrent training and the pathway to competence in Approved Training Organisations by relating it to the operational environment. This approach helps to remove complexity and ensure the entire industry is speaking the same language in pilot training to provide objective and accurate data.
